The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Bautista in the 5th minute of play forced Santisa FC's goalkeeper Natalio Bastiaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Santisa FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Anibal Endura hit a great ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Amado Llorienzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santisa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Llorienzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Raphael in the 9th minute of play forced Berros's goalkeeper Fabricio Lordi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Primitivo Nazario shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabricio Lordi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gaspar Merexildo's late challenge caught a Santisa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Merexildo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Berros getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Gaspar Merexildo hit a great ball. Anacleto Bautista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Bastiaro having to interfere. Ruben Raphael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Berros's Ernesto Tab sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Natalio Bastiaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabricio Lordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Llorienzo in the 31st minute of play. Amado Llorienzo struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Anacleto Bautista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anacleto Bautista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anacleto Bautista to make the kick off. In the 60th minute, Lisandro Dalmu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaspar Merexildo was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
