But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Indalecio couldn't finish the play. Uriel Errolan struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Marcelino Moise didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EL MAGO DE OZ. 20 minutes into the game, Argentina Legends FC's Osvaldo Corderro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lisandro Matro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Luisito Perpinya's late challenge caught a EL MAGO DE OZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisito Perpinya helped the player get up and apologised. Luisito Perpinya hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 26 played minutes Argentina Legends FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Tebaldo. After 27 played minutes EL MAGO DE OZ got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Camerino. In the 30th minute Dante Indalecio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Moise saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dante Indalecio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uriel Errolan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelino Moise read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. EL MAGO DE OZ's Lisandro Matro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Perpinya in the 46th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Gerardo Raebert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EL MAGO DE OZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentina Legends FC the free kick. A collision led to EL MAGO DE OZ getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gerardo Raebert hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Uriel Errolan was the one to do the kick off. Argentina Legends FC's Marcelino Moise played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Errolan in the 52nd minute of play. During the 53rd minute of the match Nicolas Tebaldo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nicolas Tebaldo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Marcelino Moise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Errolan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dante Indalecio got free with Marcelino Moise in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, Luisito Perpinya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Corderro in the 68th minute of play forced EL MAGO DE OZ's goalkeeper Lisandro Matro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Corderro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Matro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, EL MAGO DE OZ's Gerardo Raebert got a free kick in the 70th minute. Osvaldo Corderro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Lisandro Matro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lisandro Matro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Corderro in the 74th minute of play. Uriel Errolan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute.
