Spectators: 7184 (Terracing: 5390, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 142) Deportivo Wilde's Isidoro Ritchie started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jose Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Dubardo in the 7th minute of play. Jose Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Ritchie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th match minute, Deportivo Wilde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Jurdan to maneuver through the defense. If Ubaldo Casomiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jose Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustacio Ospin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Isidoro Ritchie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jose Nicholas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. HDP's Jose Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Ospin in the 33rd minute of play. Ubaldo Casomiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Cecilio Silvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Wilde's zone, Ubaldo Casomiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Silvino came out of the goal and Ubaldo Casomiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Deportivo Wilde's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Precioso came free, but Cecilio Silvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Deportivo Wilde were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Precioso was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Isidoro Ritchie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Deportivo Wilde booed when HDP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Toribio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Ritchie in the 55th minute of play. HDP's Jose Nicholas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save HDP from getting a goal against them. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind HDP's goalkeeper Jose Nicholas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eustaquio Frederico lost his temper 60 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Wilde! Cecilio Silvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Casomiro in the 66th minute of play. Eulalio Mendez's late challenge caught a HDP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eulalio Mendez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Wilde's Eulalio Mendez got a free kick in the 69th minute. The audience was convinced that Jorge Precioso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cecilio Silvino was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. 72 minutes into the match, Eustacio Ospin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jose Nicholas. HDP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eustacio Ospin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Nicolas Dubardo charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Dubardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Nicolas Dubardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cecilio Silvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Precioso, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Eustacio Ospin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Jose Nicholas made a huge save. Deportivo Wilde's Eustacio Ospin got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ubaldo Casomiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of HDP booed when Deportivo Wilde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Edorta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Deportivo Wilde walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
