Simon Cedro started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes of play, Desamparado de San Juan's Pablo Florin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixto Asier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hamdullah Nedret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Sixto Asier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Gualterio Abreu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Furiosos Asoc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 18 minutes into the match, Desamparado de San Juan's goalkeeper Abelardo Astrada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualterio Abreu. Sixto Asier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Cedro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Desamparado de San Juan's Simon Cedro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sixto Asier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Eloy Macias put in a rough tackle. Simon Cedro took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sixto Asier. Sixto Asier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 37th minute Simon Cedro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Asier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Furiosos Asoc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonatan Umbruso was slow to take the kick. During this time Desamparado de San Juan's players had a chance to rest. In the 42nd minute Hamdullah Nedret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Asier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sixto Asier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Florin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sixto Asier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Corderro in the 44th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Simon Cedro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sixto Asier was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. 48 minutes into the match, Benigno Corderro notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Furiosos Asoc's Sixto Asier. Sixto Asier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualterio Abreu to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Furiosos Asoc got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Pierres. In the 57th minute Simon Cedro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Asier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sixto Asier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Senin in the 58th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Simon Cedro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sixto Asier, passed just outside the right post. In the 68th minute Desamparado de San Juan were awarded a corner. Jonatan Umbruso went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Jonatan Umbruso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Furiosos Asoc's Sixto Asier did a great save. Simon Cedro might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sixto Asier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Cedro ran back to his position shaking his head. Simon Cedro took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sixto Asier. Sixto Asier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamdullah Nedret got free with Sixto Asier in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute Simon Cedro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Asier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sixto Asier was a little too slow when Simon Cedro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-8. Desamparado de San Juan's Abdulbaki Tayfur was substituted for Abel Lohitzun. Furiosos Asoc's Sixto Asier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Furiosos Asoc from getting a goal against them. Sixto Asier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Cedro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Desamparado de San Juan's Benigno Corderro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sixto Asier. Sixto Asier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-9. Desamparado de San Juan's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
