Spectators: 7350 (Terracing: 5513, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Simon Cedro started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Kayas's Paulino Hernandez got control of the ball when Benigno Corderro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 7 minutes, Nemesio Ekhi made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Desamparado de San Juan's Abelardo Astrada tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Cedro in the 13th minute of play forced Kayas's goalkeeper Paulino Hernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulino Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Florin in the 15th minute of play. When Pablo Florin got free in front of the goal in the 15th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Paulino Hernandez was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benigno Corderro got free with Paulino Hernandez in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Hugo Senin fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Desamparado de San Juan's protests and gave Hugo Senin a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Desamparado de San Juan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kayas:s goal. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Kayas. Honorio Romano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abelardo Astrada. 1-2. Bonifacio Jenaro's late challenge caught a Desamparado de San Juan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonifacio Jenaro helped the player get up and apologised. Paulino Hernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hamdullah Nedret went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Cedro in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulino Hernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulino Hernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Cordarrol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes Kayas got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Iliana. Amador Sal made in the 44th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Desamparado de San Juan's Aurelio Cordarrol. Kayas's Paulino Hernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Kayas from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a rather tough play, Kayas's Amador Sal got a free kick in the 61st minute. Abelardo Astrada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Jenaro in the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Hamdullah Nedret notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Kayas's Paulino Hernandez. Paulino Hernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Simon Cedro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Desamparado de San Juan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Umbruso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kayas's Amador Sal shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 94th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Abelardo Astrada but with some difficulty. Desamparado de San Juan walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
