Aureliano Cordaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Dantel in the 15th minute of play. Daniel Eguen kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Clodoveo Nahia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Sein in the 18th minute of play. After 24 minutes, Carlos Sein made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. RIBER PLATE's Clodoveo Nahia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Carlos Sein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 38 minutes into the game, Ignacio Endira threw the ball into play from the sideline. Pirates's Alvaro Vergaray quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 39th minute Carlos Sein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Nahia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Carlos Sein made a precise shot to the right of Clodoveo Nahia. RIBER PLATE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After the first half Pirates were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cipriano Dantel made the kick off in the second half. Pirates's Aureliano Cordaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Ekialde in the 53rd minute of play. Aureliano Cordaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Ekialde, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Aureliano Cordaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Dantel in the 60th minute of play. Haroldo Ekialde hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Carlos Sein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Clodoveo Nahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aureliano Cordaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Ekialde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to RIBER PLATE getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Cipriano Dantel hit a great ball. Carlos Sein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Nahia having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Alvaro Vergaray managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirates's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Vergaray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clodoveo Nahia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute, Pirates's Carlos Sein ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Clodoveo Nahia. Clodoveo Nahia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Cipriano Dantel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Cordaro having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Horacio Marko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirates's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RIBER PLATE the free kick. After 93 played minutes Pirates got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Marko. Pirates's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
