Rodrigo Venceslas came out of the goal and Eriberto Obeko tried to chip the ball over his head. Ubaldo Oroitz hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Venceslas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Laffitte, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Clodoveo Barea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrigo Venceslas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eriberto Obeko to make the kick off. Clodoveo Barea charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Chusca players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
