The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Daniel Iraitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MAGO DE OZ and the Rottweiller MDQ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ildefonso Oroitz kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes, MAGO DE OZ's Erasmo Cresconio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Atilano Tximitx came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MAGO DE OZ reached it. In the 14th match minute, Rottweiller MDQ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Baumar to maneuver through the defense. MAGO DE OZ's Gualterio Markel got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Narciso Olando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the MAGO DE OZ defense, Narciso Olando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Lando. The MAGO DE OZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Lando should have stopped the shot. Gualterio Markel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atilano Tximitx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, MAGO DE OZ's goalkeeper Amadeo Lando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narciso Olando. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Olando got free with Amadeo Lando in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atilano Tximitx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Iraitz in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Gualterio Markel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MAGO DE OZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualterio Markel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Iraitz took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Atilano Tximitx. Atilano Tximitx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 37th minute, Ramiro Rami hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atilano Tximitx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Iraitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atilano Tximitx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Argina, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After having played for 54 minutes, Ildefonso Oroitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MAGO DE OZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ildefonso Oroitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 56 minutes on the clock, Gogo Raphael commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Atilano Tximitx had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Fermin Sanchez's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 59 played minutes Rottweiller MDQ got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Rami. Narciso Olando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Iraitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Atilano Tximitx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Rami blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Lando having to make a save. Melquiades Artizar kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Rottweiller MDQ's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Iraitz came free, but Atilano Tximitx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MAGO DE OZ's Gualterio Markel suffered a sore thigh after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Rottweiller MDQ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MAGO DE OZ:s goal. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Daniel Iraitz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Daniel Iraitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Atilano Tximitx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
