Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Honorato James to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodolfo Guipuzkoa got free with Emanuel Merexildo in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cosme Sol scored 1-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvestre Etxekopar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 92 minutes, Ramon Manex managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ectopicos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramon Manex was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
