The nice shot from Tomás Dantel in the 26thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Silvestre Etxekopar had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Dantel got free with Silvestre Etxekopar in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honorato James fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Lucila having to interfere. Silvestre Etxekopar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Ascencio in the 61st minute of play. Silvestre Etxekopar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Dantel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Córdoba United FC's goalkeeper Silvestre Etxekopar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodolfo Guipuzkoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Prospero Lucila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Dantel in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvestre Etxekopar saved Córdoba United FC from getting behind. Silvestre Etxekopar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Ascencio in the 72nd minute of play. Honorato James fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Lucila having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Honorato James's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prospero Lucila was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Celso Ascencio might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvestre Etxekopar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Córdoba United FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
