Blas Frasquito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Astor Martxel made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Blas Frasquito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Singapur FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Blas Frasquito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Astor Martxel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Merlo.'s Fabricio Quintana got a free kick in the 20th minute. Cristobal Ihazintu, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Dario Pio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Isauro in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Arsenio Jurdan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Astor Martxel. Arsenio Jurdan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Victorio Isauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Singapur FC's zone, Sebastian Oxel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dario Pio came out of the goal and Sebastian Oxel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The goalkeeper, Astor Martxel, was totally fooled by Singapur FC's Cristobal Ihazintu, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Dario Pio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Oxel in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Oxel to make the kick off. If Arsenio Jurdan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dario Pio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Oxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Merlo.'s zone, Arsenio Jurdan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Isauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dario Pio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Singapur FC had won after a very even match.
