After a rather tough play, Andrade's Lucio Ostargi got a free kick in the 4th minute. Carolo Elija made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Sancho in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute of the match Jeremias Dino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carolo Elija skillfully saved the ball. When Lucio Ostargi fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Andrade's protests and gave Lucio Ostargi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of MARÍA PAULA F.C. booed when Andrade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Ostargi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Eloy Guter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carolo Elija was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dante Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Carolo Elija tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rogelio Maule had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 24 minutes, Rogelio Maule managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Andrade's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Maule was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Andrade booed when MARÍA PAULA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Havier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogelio Maule spun around in front of the goal 28 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of MARÍA PAULA F.C.'s goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrade's Paulo Iturri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eleuterio Azubeli. That made the score 1-1 after 30 minutes of play. In the 38th minute Paulo Iturri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleuterio Azubeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Paulo Iturri made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Iturri in the 52nd minute of play forced MARÍA PAULA F.C.'s goalkeeper Eleuterio Azubeli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogelio Maule might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eleuterio Azubeli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogelio Maule ran back to his position shaking his head. MARÍA PAULA F.C.'s Eleuterio Azubeli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Maule in the 56th minute of play. When Eloy Guter came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the MARÍA PAULA F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Guter couldn't finish the play. Carolo Elija made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eloy Guter in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, Andrade's Amancio Estevez got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Amancio Estevez charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amancio Estevez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. One of Andrade:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MARÍA PAULA F.C.:s goal. The goalkeeper, Carolo Elija, was totally fooled by MARÍA PAULA F.C.'s Luis Quinteros, who 80 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Eloy Guter came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the MARÍA PAULA F.C. fans jumped to their feet. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MARÍA PAULA F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
