Fausto Lorenz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Artemio Mikelar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Fausto Lorenz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Mikelar came out of the goal and Fausto Lorenz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artemio Mikelar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Candido Lando in the 18th minute. Victorino Pereyra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Nel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Todos atras y Dios de 9FC's Fausto Lorenz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Artemio Mikelar. Artemio Mikelar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Fausto Lorenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Lorenz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute, Candido Lando made a precise shot to the right of Artemio Mikelar. River Plate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelino Nel was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardino Celipe to maneuver through the defense. Artemio Mikelar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Lando in the 54th minute of the match. After 54 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Benino. In the 58th minute, one of River Plate:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for River Plate. Artemio Mikelar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Lorenz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute, Candido Lando left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Todos atras y Dios de 9FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Fausto Lorenz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th minute of the match Jaime Iraido sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artemio Mikelar skillfully saved the ball. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Artemio Mikelar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Candido Lando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fausto Lorenz struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Artemio Mikelar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Todos atras y Dios de 9FC. If Fausto Lorenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Todos atras y Dios de 9FC fully deserved thier win.
