Ovidio Jusepe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pastor Isusko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The DEPORTIVO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogelio Nabar should have stopped the shot. In the 38th minute, Adolfo Jurdan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogelio Nabar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Llanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tadeo Lidon was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, DEPORTIVO's Paulino Iraunkor got a free kick in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Madurga's Julian Llanos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rogelio Nabar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A beautiful save bye DEPORTIVO's goalie prevented a goal. The DEPORTIVO supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Atlético Madurga's performance.
