Marcial Cordarell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Castel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Cordarell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Castel, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Bernardo Matthew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Haritzeder having to interfere. In the 14th minute Fabian Shepherd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Haritzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Shepherd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Quilino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcial Cordarell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Angelino Mateo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A. Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 42 minutes, Fabian Shepherd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. Independiente and the Montefiore FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.A. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Matthew to strike the kick off in the second half. Filiberto Haritzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Matthew, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Lázaro Bastiaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aureliano Castel came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Montefiore FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Castel couldn't finish the play. A collision led to C.A. Independiente getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Francisco Nuñez hit a great ball. Marco Urtungo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcial Cordarell. C.A. Independiente's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79th minute Severino Quilino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Cordarell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Montefiore FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Angelino Mateo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bernabe Lucian might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filiberto Haritzeder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernabe Lucian ran back to his position shaking his head. Angelino Mateo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Filiberto Haritzeder came out and tried to block the shot, but Angelino Mateo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 88th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C.A. Independiente eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
