Flavio Bilbo might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romulo Telmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flavio Bilbo ran back to his position shaking his head. 7 minutes into the match, Volcán's Eustacio Romero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romulo Telmo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Defensores Mansilla FC's Armando Sandalio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ruperto Galo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Sanchez having to interfere. Braulio Sanchez made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Everardo Harkaitz sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Volcán getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Atilano Petri hit a great ball. A hard shot 25 in the game by Everardo Harkaitz from a close distance when the talented Braulio Sanchez managed to make a qualified save. Volcán's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Eustacio Romero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romulo Telmo was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The supporters of Volcán booed when Defensores Mansilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Chuse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everardo Harkaitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Braulio Sanchez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. If Ruperto Galo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Bilbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Flavio Bilbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Romulo Telmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Ruperto Galo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Braulio Sanchez. Ruperto Galo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruperto Galo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Niceto Conrao was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Defensores Mansilla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Volcán the free kick. Niceto Conrao kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute of the match Leandro Leoncio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romulo Telmo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ruperto Galo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Sanchez having to interfere. Aristides Dantae kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Everardo Harkaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Sanchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romulo Telmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Eustacio Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Volcán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eustacio Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Flavio Bilbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Defensores Mansilla FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Florentino Chuse hit a great ball. Volcán's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Generoso Duardo in the 81st minute. Generoso Duardo made a great header on Volcán's corner, it was just that Defensores Mansilla FC's Romulo Telmo managed to reach the ball for a save. 82 minutes into the match, Volcán's Eustacio Romero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romulo Telmo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Braulio Sanchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Galo, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute of the match, Eustacio Romero tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Romulo Telmo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Braulio Sanchez came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores Mansilla FC's Ruperto Galo. But to his dismay, Ruperto Galo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 97th minute, Armando Sandalio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Volcán's Braulio Sanchez didn't even have to move. Volcán's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
