Dante Mano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Hernan Cresenciano came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the MARCE FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Cresenciano couldn't finish the play. Adrian Gumaro made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Hernan Cresenciano sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, MARCE FC's Javier Florin got a free kick in the 30th minute. Adrian Gumaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Mano in the 33rd minute of play. Miguel Ourente hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Gustavo Sansone took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adrian Gumaro. Avaí Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Isidro Suarez came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Avaí Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidro Suarez couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Eleuterio Castel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Duardo was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Avaí Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Adrian Gumaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernan Cresenciano. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dante Mano to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Hernan Cresenciano notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Avaí Futebol Clube's Adrian Gumaro. Adrian Gumaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 58 minutes into the match, Avaí Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Mano came free, but Adrian Gumaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 minutes, Hipolito Aguilera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MARCE FC and the Avaí Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Celedonio Mingo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Hector Poz took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrian Gumaro. Adrian Gumaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. MARCE FC's Hernan Cresenciano got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Eleuterio Castel took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Victor Duardo to make any attempt to save it. Adrian Gumaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Pabla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th match minute, MARCE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Panpili to maneuver through the defense. Avaí Futebol Clube's Adrian Gumaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Cresenciano in the 92nd minute of play. Eleuterio Castel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Duardo having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
