With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliberto Gaskon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Feliberto Gaskon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nereo Pierres's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. If Nereo Pierres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliberto Gaskon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nereo Pierres went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Feliberto Gaskon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Pierres, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Nereo Pierres sped through Green Hills's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Feliberto Gaskon. The supporters of Fenix booed when Green Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Gudesteo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Luix took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Feliberto Gaskon. Feliberto Gaskon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Paulo Shantala's late challenge caught a Green Hills's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Shantala helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Fenix getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Paulo Shantala hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Claudio Gudesteo made the kick off in the second half. Urbano Truylos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Nereo Pierres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Gaskon having to interfere. With his leg Feliberto Gaskon managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Fenix's Nereo Pierres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 80th minute, Fenix's Nereo Pierres ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Feliberto Gaskon. Feliberto Gaskon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Nereo Pierres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Fenix's Nereo Pierres in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Green Hills's goalie prevented a goal. Nicanor Santikurtz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Gaskon having to interfere. Nereo Pierres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nereo Pierres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Feliberto Gaskon made a huge save. Marco Luix struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Feliberto Gaskon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenix. When the final whistle sounded Fenix left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Green Hills.
