Fenix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nereo Pierres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Luix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Ishmael having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Cirilo Bitxintxo made the kick off in the second half. Raimundo Ishmael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Pierres, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Raimundo Ishmael didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nereo Pierres went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Pierres in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Ishmael saved Siambón from getting behind. Urbano Truylos struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Raimundo Ishmael didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenix. Siambón were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Fenix's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arsenio Abeijon took the corner. The corner led Siambón's Arsenio Abeijon to fire away a dangerous shot which Damaso Baristo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Luix in the 78th minute of play forced Siambón's goalkeeper Raimundo Ishmael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes Nereo Pierres could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 0-6 into the left cross. In the 88th minute, Fenix's Nereo Pierres dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Nereo Pierres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimundo Ishmael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play.
