Adrian Gumaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Hermon in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Dolfos in the 18th minute of play forced Avaí Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Adrian Gumaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eleuterio Castel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobias Ibon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Luar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Dolfos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Adrian Gumaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Hermon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Campana's Lucas Dolfos got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felipe Hermon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Gumaro having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, Avaí Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Luar to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the game, Alvaro Luar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Avaí Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campana the free kick. After a rather tough play, Avaí Futebol Clube's Alvaro Luar got a free kick in the 45th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

52 minutes into the game, Ariel Frances was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Campana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avaí Futebol Clube the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Hermon got free with Adrian Gumaro in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Avaí Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Alvaro Luar hit a great ball. In the 58th match minute, Avaí Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Luar to maneuver through the defense. Eleuterio Castel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tobias Ibon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Alvaro Luar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Victor Lonzo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Avaí Futebol Clube's Alvaro Luar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Miguel Ourente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 79 minutes, Lucas Dolfos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Dolfos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th match minute, Avaí Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Luar to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Hermon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Adrian Gumaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Felipe Hermon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrian Gumaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Campana's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
