In the 39th minute Ambrosio Tino suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Godofredo Txema fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Rivadavia's protests and gave Godofredo Txema a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Rivadavia's Godofredo Txema got a free kick in the 40th minute. Paulino Marino made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Guido Gonzalez sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute Teofilo Abadia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Ostadar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guido Gonzalez to strike the kick off in the second half. Pearson FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
