The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 13 minutes, Melchor Argina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lotería FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melchor Argina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fidel Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Marko, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Lotería FC's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Peruanton came free, but Fidel Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Leandro Su came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Golden Generation fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Su couldn't finish the play. Fidel Frechoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Hernando in the 28th minute of play. Lotería FC's Fidel Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Marko in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Golden Generation was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Peruanton to maneuver through the defense. Niceto Aimar charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niceto Aimar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Lotería FC got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Aimar. Daniel Marko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Fidel Frechoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
