When Aaron Godoy fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matheu FC's protests and gave Aaron Godoy a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Matheu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Godoy to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, Gaudencio Hug recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardo Librado. Gaudencio Hug showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Gaudencio Hug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Ricardo Librado managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Matheu FC's Gaudencio Hug fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hermengildo Cordairo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Librado having to make a save. After having played for 46 minutes, Gaudencio Hug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matheu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaudencio Hug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deportivo Gambeta's Ricardo Librado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Hug in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eleuterio Venceslao made a kick off. Eleuterio Venceslao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the match, Matheu FC's goalkeeper Victorio Emeterio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inocencio Henry. Victorio Emeterio made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Eleuterio Venceslao sent off a good shot on target. After 66 minutes, Lucas Cloyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Gambeta and the Matheu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Deportivo Gambeta:s Ricardo Librado showed great skill when he stopped Fidel Urtsin:s penalty. Eleuterio Venceslao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Matheu FC's Victorio Emeterio got control of the ball when Eleuterio Venceslao tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd play minute Eleuterio Venceslao came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Victorio Emeterio. 1-1. Deportivo Gambeta's Ricardo Librado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Cordairo in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Gaudencio Hug left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matheu FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Gaudencio Hug recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermengildo Cordairo in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Librado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Gambeta's zone, Hermengildo Cordairo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Librado came out of the goal and Hermengildo Cordairo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaudencio Hug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
