An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Rodas in the 3rd minute of play forced C A San Miguel's goalkeeper Rafael Jaume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Jaume took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Rodas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Beltza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Cuartio, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Aaron Cuartio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Beltza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Aaron Cuartio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Beltza having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mechita's zone, Aaron Cuartio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Beltza came out of the goal and Aaron Cuartio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 played minutes Mechita got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Bitxintxo. Ivan Beltza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonatan Leocadio in the 25th minute. Americo Roldan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Rafael Jaume tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Americo Roldan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diego Gomez charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Gomez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to C A San Miguel getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Diego Gomez hit a great ball. Pedro Rodas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Americo Roldan came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Mechita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Americo Roldan couldn't finish the play. Rafael Jaume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Rodas in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Rodas made a kick off. Rafael Jaume acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 52nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Enzo Pietro. Aaron Cuartio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ivan Beltza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Pedro Rodas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rafael Jaume. Pedro Rodas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Americo Roldan took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Rafael Jaume to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Mechita defense, Aaron Cuartio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivan Beltza. The Mechita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Beltza should have stopped the shot. After having played for 78 minutes, Jonatan Leocadio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C A San Miguel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Leocadio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 81 minutes, Aaron Cuartio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
