Victorio Baleren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Me Duele El Higo's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Bastian came free, but Adrian Dimas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 0-1 became the score in the 31st minute when Raimundo Bastian elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Adrian Dimas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Peru in the 34th minute of the match. After the first half Merlo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Raimundo Bastian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrian Dimas was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Jonathan Peru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Dimas having to interfere. Merlo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
