An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Domiku in the 17th minute of play forced Ballesteros AFC's goalkeeper Teofilo Sustrai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Ballesteros AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Domiku came free, but Teofilo Sustrai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 23 minutes on the clock, Ignacio Maidana commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Arrocera FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballesteros AFC the free kick. In the 42nd minute Rosendo Garaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Pereyra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ballesteros AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rosendo Garaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Arrocera FC's goalkeeper Serafin Pereyra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rosendo Garaona. When Adan Natal fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballesteros AFC's protests and gave Adan Natal a yellow card for diving instead. Hector Ralondo might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teofilo Sustrai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hector Ralondo ran back to his position shaking his head. Serafin Pereyra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Medina in the 72nd minute of the match.
