Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paolo Eutropio to make the kick off. Fausto Formerio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulgencio Teofilio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Fausto Formerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fulgencio Teofilio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Formerio's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Ciriaco Abreu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 93rd playminute.
