The audience was convinced that Blas Paio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Omero was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Omero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the game, Evelio Acuña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Joaquin Omero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Angau Futbol Club's Evelio Acuña got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquin Omero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Acuña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Acuña in the 47th minute of play forced Benevento Calcio's goalkeeper Joaquin Omero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Marcelo Feliu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Filomeno Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Primo having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Baltasar Etor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benevento Calcio's Joaquin Omero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Acuña in the 63rd minute of play. The throw-in from Aldo Quinto in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Angau Futbol Club's Adan Otsoa. Evelio Acuña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd match minute, Benevento Calcio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Ongile to maneuver through the defense. Evelio Acuña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 89 minutes, Evelio Acuña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Angau Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Acuña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Aldo Quinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evelio Acuña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benevento Calcio succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Angau Futbol Club had controlled the match.
