The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ciriaco Cresenciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lowrider!'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Filomeno Txatxu scored to the left of an out of position Efrain Basualdo, making the score, 1-0. In the 12th minute of the match, Filomeno Txatxu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Efrain Basualdo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Efrain Basualdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Basajaun in the 15th minute of the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Ciriaco Cresenciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lowrider!'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Cresenciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Cresenciano in the 25th minute of play forced Benevento Calcio's goalkeeper Joaquin Omero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th match minute, Benevento Calcio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Nalo to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute of the match Filomeno Olayo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquin Omero skillfully saved the ball. With his leg Efrain Basualdo managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Benevento Calcio's Luis Basajaun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Cresenciano in the 36th minute of play forced Benevento Calcio's goalkeeper Joaquin Omero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filomeno Txatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lowrider!'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Filomeno Txatxu scored to the left of an out of position Efrain Basualdo, making the score, 2-0. In the 47th minute of the match, Luis Basajaun got a very nice opportunity to score, but Efrain Basualdo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 47 played minutes Lowrider! got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Tome. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filomeno Txatxu to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Arturo Nastasio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Efrain Basualdo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joaquin Omero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Inge in the 59th minute of play. Luis Basajaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Efrain Basualdo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Ciriaco Cresenciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lowrider!'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Cresenciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Omero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 67 minutes, Ambrosio Inge mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lowrider! and the Benevento Calcio players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes Lowrider! got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Inge. Efrain Basualdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Basajaun in the 74th minute of play. Leonides Olentzaros short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Joaquin Omero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ciriaco Cresenciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Leonides Olentzaro came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Lowrider! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Olentzaro couldn't finish the play. Luis Basajaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciriaco Cresenciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Joaquin Omero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Benevento Calcio fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lowrider! had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
