Celso Telo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santos Primo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. If Inocencio Policarpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. Edgardo Tulio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Sein, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Monteverde's Jeronimo Sein ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgardo Tulio. Edgardo Tulio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Jeronimo Sein might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgardo Tulio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeronimo Sein ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgardo Tulio stood somewhat misplaced when Jeronimo Sein came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 24 minute. Edgardo Tulio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Inocencio Policarpio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocencio Policarpio in the 30th minute of play forced Icaño FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Tulio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Goito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Edgardo Tulio made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Icaño FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Telo came free, but Edgardo Tulio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Icaño FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Tulio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Juvenal. Gustavo Juvenal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Edgardo Tulio made a huge save. Jeronimo Sein had several of the Icaño FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Edgardo Tulio as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 39th minute, Filiberto Solustiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavio Larpe was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After having played for 44 minutes, Gustavo Juvenal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monteverde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Juvenal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute, Inocencio Policarpio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filiberto Solustiano to make the kick off. Jeronimo Sein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Tulio having to interfere. When Humberto Goito fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monteverde's protests and gave Humberto Goito a yellow card for diving instead. Humberto Goito kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Monteverde's Humberto Goito got a free kick in the 68th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Icaño FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Sein came free, but Edgardo Tulio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jeronimo Sein came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Monteverde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Sein couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Solustiano in the 80th minute of play forced Monteverde's goalkeeper Octavio Larpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Juvenal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeronimo Sein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Edgardo Tulio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Larpe made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Baldomero Asur sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute, Inocencio Policarpio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgardo Tulio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Policarpio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gustavo Juvenal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Monteverde walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
