Raimundo Aznar might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Arnas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Aznar ran back to his position shaking his head.

Faustino Belarmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Oidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo sarmiento fc's Casimiro Lorenz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Federico Arnas. That made the score 0-2 after 53 minutes of play. Fermin Arias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Federico Arnas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Faustino Belarmo came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Leones Cristianos F.C.'s Lázaro Oidor. But to his dismay, Lázaro Oidor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Fermin Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fermin Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Federico Arnas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute of the match Florencio Colas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Federico Arnas skillfully saved the ball. Fermin Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Federico Arnas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Lázaro Oidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Belarmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Aznar might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Arnas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Aznar ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 95 minutes, Fermin Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo sarmiento fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fermin Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Deportivo sarmiento fc had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
