The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maximiliano Timo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Arnas having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Leones Cristianos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Orixe came free, but Federico Arnas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Constantino Ederono's late challenge caught a Leones Cristianos F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantino Ederono helped the player get up and apologised. 9 minutes into the game, one of Club Villa Mitre:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Leones Cristianos F.C.. Fabio Basajaun stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dalmacio Constancio. 0-1. Dalmacio Constancio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Olivar in the 15th minute of play. Leones Cristianos F.C.'s Lázaro Oidor got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Club Villa Mitre's Fermin Feo got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Cristian Olivar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leones Cristianos F.C.'s Lázaro Oidor got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Orixe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th match minute, Leones Cristianos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Olivar to maneuver through the defense. When Cristian Olivar got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Leones Cristianos F.C.. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lázaro Oidor in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalmacio Constancio saved Club Villa Mitre from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Orixe in the 36th minute of play forced Leones Cristianos F.C.'s goalkeeper Federico Arnas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximiliano Timo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Federico Arnas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Cristian Olivar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leones Cristianos F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Cristian Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Club Villa Mitre players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Leones Cristianos F.C. were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Orixe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Gustavo Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Orixe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Timo in the 65th minute of play forced Leones Cristianos F.C.'s goalkeeper Federico Arnas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lázaro Oidor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiliano Timo took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Federico Arnas. Federico Arnas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. If Cristian Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Leones Cristianos F.C.'s Osvaldo Vela got a free kick in the 80th minute. Dalmacio Constancio made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Lázaro Oidor sent off a good shot on target. Everardo Herrera hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Etxepare, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Club Villa Mitre getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Cipriano Azibar hit a great ball. Club Villa Mitre's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Cristian Olivar scored to the left of an out of position Dalmacio Constancio, making the score, 1-3.
