Erubiel Rios was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Jeronimo Sein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monteverde's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeronimo Sein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Cayetano Gabirel came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the La Banda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cayetano Gabirel couldn't finish the play. La Banda FC's Erubiel Rios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Juvenal in the 34th minute of play. If Jeronimo Sein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavio Larpe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teo Lazcano in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute, Jeronimo Sein ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erubiel Rios was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Celso Telo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Erubiel Rios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The La Banda FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Monteverde were winning 1-2.

In the 86th minute, Jeronimo Sein reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erubiel Rios. The goal made the score 1-3. Erubiel Rios made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Gustavo Juvenal sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Monteverde getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Humberto Goito hit a great ball. Jeronimo Sein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Erubiel Rios made a huge save. The La Banda FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Monteverde's performance. The match ended with a win for Monteverde.
