Ubaldo Cristos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Arias having to interfere. The Papa Roach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulgencio Arias should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Chaparro were the better team. Chaparro's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
