The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Flavio Isauro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Fulgencio Illan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomero Sayvion who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Ulises Moise when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Bernad in the 27th minute of play forced Club Atletico Huracan's goalkeeper Ulises Moise to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amador Gora made a great header on Sp. Canario's corner, it was just that Club Atletico Huracan's Ulises Moise managed to reach the ball for a save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin Fraco couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Club Atletico Huracan booed when Sp. Canario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Gora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Valentin Bernad made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Fulgencio Illan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Isauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Club Atletico Huracan's Fulgencio Illan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Flavio Isauro. Ulises Moise showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Bernad in the 59th minute of the match. Canario's Amador Gora shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ulises Moise came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sp. Canario reached it. 69 minutes into the match, Sp. Canario's Valentin Bernad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulises Moise narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Oriol in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Isauro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th match minute, Sp. Canario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Gora to maneuver through the defense. Flavio Isauro stood somewhat misplaced when Damian Oriol came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 80 minute. After 83 played minutes Club Atletico Huracan got a freekick which was hit by Javier Quinito. Damian Oriol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 minutes, Agustin Fraco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Huracan and the Sp. Canario players grew even worse after the yellow card.
