Anastasio Abancens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Illart in the 3rd minute. After 4 minutes, Felix Vincent mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lértora and the Boca JR players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lértora's Anastasio Abancens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Lluciano in the 5th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match Emiliano Manuelo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tadeo Ospetsu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Antonio Illart came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Boca JR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Illart couldn't finish the play. After having played for 22 minutes, Felix Vincent managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lértora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Vincent was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Lino Lluciano made a precise shot to the right of Anastasio Abancens. Lértora's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Antonio Illart blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anastasio Abancens having to make a save. Lértora's Felix Vincent got his second yellow card of the match in the 30th minute. The referee ordered Felix Vincent off the ground. Felix Vincent kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Lino Lluciano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anastasio Abancens, 2-0. Sergio Jesco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lértora's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lino Lluciano 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sergio Jesco was the one to do the kick off. Anastasio Abancens came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Boca JR's Antonio Illart. But to his dismay, Antonio Illart quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Sergio Jesco kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Boca JR's Lino Lluciano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasio Abancens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anastasio Abancens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Lluciano in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, one of Lértora:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lértora. After 66 minutes of play, Boca JR's Lino Lluciano made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anastasio Abancens was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute Antonio Illart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Abancens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Illart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Abancens having to interfere. Lértora's Anastasio Abancens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Illart in the 80th minute of play. Augusto Restu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Ospetsu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Sergio Jesco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lértora's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio Jesco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeo Ospetsu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bartolo Maura might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tadeo Ospetsu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartolo Maura ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Lértora booed when Boca JR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Roland didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Antonio Illart made a precise shot to the right of Anastasio Abancens. Lértora's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. When Gaston Savier fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boca JR's protests and gave Gaston Savier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th match minute, Boca JR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Savier to maneuver through the defense. The Boca JR players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
