An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Aztore in the 30th minute of play forced Real Madrid CF's goalkeeper Fernando Basajaun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match David Raphael shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Basajaun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Manuel Xabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Ferrer, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Corrales AFC's Teodosio Ur got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Real Madrid CF's Jeronimo Xabat seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jeronimo Xabat the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Real Madrid CF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jeronimo Xabat had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 54th minute, one of Real Madrid CF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real Madrid CF. The referee gave Corrales AFC a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by David Raphael, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Real Madrid CF's Fernando Basajaun. 2-1. After having played for 65 minutes, Donato Aztore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corrales AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Aztore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donato Aztore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute of the match David Raphael shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Basajaun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With his leg Manuel Xabel managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Real Madrid CF's Alberto Ferrer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Corrales AFC's Manuel Xabel got control of the ball when Alberto Ferrer tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Teodosio Ur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corrales AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
