Daniel Seixas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Selmo having to make a save. Isaias Sabino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flavio Selmo. El Facu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Flavio Selmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Jerico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Facu's Flavio Selmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Aznaro in the 7th minute of play. Daniel Seixas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Flavio Selmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 minutes of play, C.A. BANFIELD's Eustacio Aznaro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Selmo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pablo Jerico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Selmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Jerico in the 25th minute of the match. After 25 played minutes El Facu got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Osasun. Rosendo Ovando kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes C.A. BANFIELD got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Sabino. Flavio Selmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Bilbo in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, El Facu's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Seixas came free, but Flavio Selmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isaias Sabino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flavio Selmo. El Facu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the El Facu defense, Daniel Seixas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Selmo. The El Facu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Selmo should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute Eustacio Aznaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Daniel Seixas managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. BANFIELD's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Seixas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Selmo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Bilbo made a kick off. Daniel Seixas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 played minutes El Facu got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Jokin. If Pablo Jerico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Eustacio Aznaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. BANFIELD's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustacio Aznaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Selmo made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Fidel Galsino sent off a good shot on target. Flavio Selmo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Bilbo in the 70th minute. Flavio Selmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Jerico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Pablo Jerico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Selmo. El Facu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pablo Jerico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Pastor Osasun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Lauro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. If Eustacio Aznaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustacio Aznaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardino Chucho, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 89 played minutes El Facu got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Jerico. Flavio Selmo was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Diego Bilbo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diego Bilbo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. In the 95th minute, Diego Bilbo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Selmo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. C.A. BANFIELD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
