Rodrigo Camerino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaias Lugo having to make a save. Valentin Llanos came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER PLATE's Ambrosio Firman. But to his dismay, Ambrosio Firman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 15th minute Herminio Reno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Lugo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RIVER PLATE's Isaias Lugo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Iratzeder in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute Rodrigo Camerino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Lugo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Herminio Reno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, The Punisher FC's Jacinto Clodio got a free kick in the 26th minute. Adrian Tulio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. RIVER PLATE's Isaias Lugo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Camerino in the 30th minute of play. Erubiel Montrelle struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Isaias Lugo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Punisher FC. Marcelino Hunfredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Clodio came free, but Isaias Lugo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute of the match Jacinto Clodio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isaias Lugo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Punisher FC's Valentin Llanos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save The Punisher FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 40 minutes, Marcelino Hunfredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Punisher FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelino Hunfredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Camerino came free, but Isaias Lugo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilario Silbestre hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Erubiel Montrelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Lugo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Rodrigo Camerino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the game, RIVER PLATE's Ambrosio Firman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valentin Llanos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Rodrigo Camerinos short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Isaias Lugo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 59th minute, Marcelino Hunfredo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Isaias Lugo, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in RIVER PLATE's zone, Rodrigo Camerino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaias Lugo came out of the goal and Rodrigo Camerino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Llanos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosio Firman in the 63rd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Erubiel Montrelle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Punisher FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RIVER PLATE the free kick. With a little luck, RIVER PLATE's Isaias Lugo got control of the ball when Marcelino Hunfredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE's Cornelio Abadie got a free kick in the 70th minute. The supporters of The Punisher FC booed when RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Nisio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Rodrigo Camerino managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Punisher FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Camerino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaias Lugo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 81 minutes into the match, RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Reno came free, but Isaias Lugo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Rodrigo Camerino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isaias Lugo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. If Herminio Reno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Montrelle in the 90th minute of play forced RIVER PLATE's goalkeeper Isaias Lugo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Erubiel Montrelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 96 in the game by Marcelino Hunfredo from a close distance when the talented Isaias Lugo managed to make a qualified save. RIVER PLATE's players were relieved. The Punisher FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
