Moños FC's Evelio Bernal got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evelio Bernal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Eloy Stephen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 29 minutes into the match, Fausto Ledesma had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aldo Gonza. Moños FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fausto Ledesma was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 32 minutes into the match, Moños FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Salvatore came free, but Aldo Gonza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Ledesma was the one to do the kick off. If Ciro Cordarrol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislao Laffitte might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Stephen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After some careless play in the Rosario Central defense, Ciro Cordarrol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eloy Stephen. The Rosario Central fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Stephen should have stopped the shot. Ciro Cordarrol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eloy Stephen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Ismael Tiadoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moños FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Tiadoro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ladislao Laffitte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Eloy Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Musko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Stephen having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Evelio Bernal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Tiadoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Eloy Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Moños FC fully deserved thier win.
