But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erubiel Ariando couldn't finish the play. If Sergio Guillem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes into the game, C.A.INDEPENDIENTE's Erubiel Ariando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvio Innocenzio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Anastasio Froila put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Silvio Innocenzio. In the 42ndth minute of the game Anastasio Froila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosario Balompié 1889's Silvio Innocenzio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anastasio Froila who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Silvio Innocenzio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, C.A.INDEPENDIENTE's Cristian Demesio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvio Innocenzio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. C.A.INDEPENDIENTE's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
