Esteban Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Ledesma in the 13th minute of play. When Fausto Ledesma fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosario Central's protests and gave Fausto Ledesma a yellow card for diving instead. Fausto Ledesma kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 21 minutes, Jimeno Beremundo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosario Central and the Ceferino Namuncura players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Rosario Central got a freekick which was hit by Jimeno Beremundo. 27 minutes into the match, Ceferino Namuncura's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Salvatore came free, but Esteban Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natalio Seguinus hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Serafino Martinez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Eloy Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leopoldo Edwardo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ceferino Namuncura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Edwardo couldn't finish the play. A sloppy throw-in by Anacleto Behe in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ceferino Namuncura's Leopoldo Edwardo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Fausto Ledesma made the kick off in the second half. Esteban Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Beremundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Beremundo in the 57th minute of play forced Ceferino Namuncura's goalkeeper Esteban Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Ceferino Namuncura's Serafino Martinez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eloy Stephen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eloy Stephen didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ceferino Namuncura's Serafino Martinez shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. With a little luck, Rosario Central's Eloy Stephen got control of the ball when Serafino Martinez tried to sneak it across the goal line.
