In the 20th match minute, Albariño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Kismi to maneuver through the defense. Melquiades Gervaso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Pio having to make a save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Gervaso in the 56th minute of play forced Yahapé AFC's goalkeeper Emanuel Pio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Artal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Pio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
