After 6 minutes, Ruperto Misael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosario Central and the Ceferino Namuncura players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Ruperto Misael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute Guillermo Salvatore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 minutes, Cesar Ur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ceferino Namuncura and the Rosario Central players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 minutes of play, Ceferino Namuncura's Tomás Quico made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eloy Stephen was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th match minute, Ceferino Namuncura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Ur to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Fausto Ledesma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anacleto Behe hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Esteban Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Ledesma in the 24th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ceferino Namuncura defense, Natalio Seguinus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteban Batista. The Ceferino Namuncura fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteban Batista should have stopped the shot. Serafino Martinez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Ceferino Namuncura's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Beremundo came free, but Esteban Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Jimeno Beremundo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ceferino Namuncura's Esteban Batista. Esteban Batista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Israel Medina might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Stephen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Israel Medina ran back to his position shaking his head. Serafino Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Stephen having to interfere. In the 39th minute Natalio Seguinus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Serafino Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafino Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Stephen having to interfere. Esteban Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Salvatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fausto Ledesma to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Jimeno Beremundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esteban Batista made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Guillermo Salvatore sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute, Jimeno Beremundo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Esteban Batista. The goal made the score 1-3. Guillermo Salvatore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Batista having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Guillermo Salvatore recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Esteban Batista. Guillermo Salvatore showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. In the 69th minute, Rosario Central's Guillermo Salvatore dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Ceferino Namuncura's Esteban Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Ceferino Namuncura from getting a goal against them. After 81 played minutes Rosario Central got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Behe. Serafino Martinez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eloy Stephen having to make a save. Rosario Central's Eloy Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafino Martinez in the 84th minute of play. Esteban Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Ledesma in the 90th minute of the match. Fausto Ledesma received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Esteban Batista came out and tried to block the shot, but Fausto Ledesma slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 92nd minute. Eloy Stephen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafino Martinez's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Rosario Central's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
