Eloy Stephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Milio in the 5th minute of play. Fausto Ledesma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Emanuel Pio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Milio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Milio came free, but Eloy Stephen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Ledesma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Pio made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Guillermo Salvatore sent off a good shot on target. If Fausto Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natalio Seguinus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Ostadar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Stephen having to interfere. The supporters of Yahapé AFC booed when Rosario Central was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Beremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jose Milio came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Yahapé AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Milio couldn't finish the play. Vicente Ostadar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Eloy Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute Fausto Ledesma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Pio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Eloy Stephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Ostadar in the 53rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Ledesma in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Pio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute, Rolando Raymon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Yahapé AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Ledesma came free, but Emanuel Pio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rolando Raymon fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yahapé AFC's protests and gave Rolando Raymon a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Yahapé AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Raymon. Jose Milio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eloy Stephen having to make a save. If Natalio Seguinus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aureliano Lluciano took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Stephen. Eloy Stephen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 73rd minute, Jose Milio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jose Milios short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Eloy Stephen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 79 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Ostadar came free, but Eloy Stephen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eloy Stephen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose Milio in the 81st minute. A collision led to Rosario Central getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Nereo Oso hit a great ball. Emanuel Pio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Seguinus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Yahapé AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Seguinus came free, but Emanuel Pio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Ostadar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Stephen having to interfere. The Yahapé AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yahapé AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
