Matará's Sergio Etxepare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Jesco in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Soldados de roman getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Francisco Olivar hit a great ball. Rene Alonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Etxepare having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Jonas Jesco made a precise shot to the right of Sergio Etxepare. Matará's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 32nd minute Dalmacio Crescencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Fertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Matará getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Justino Merexildo hit a great ball. Sergio Etxepare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Marz in the 37th minute of play. Rene Alonso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sergio Etxepare read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After 41 played minutes, Soldados de roman's Isaias Weterio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sergio Etxepare came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Soldados de roman reached it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dalmacio Crescencio to make the kick off. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Soldados de roman's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antonio Elivareo was slow to take the kick. During this time Matará's players had a chance to rest. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ovidio Chale in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celedonio Fertus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute, Jonas Jesco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Jonas Jesco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soldados de roman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Jesco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rene Alonso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Sergio Etxepare made a huge save. Soldados de roman's Celedonio Fertus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Crescencio in the 86th minute of play. When Jonas Jesco came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Soldados de roman fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Jesco couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Soldados de roman booed when Matará was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Munio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene Alonso got free with Sergio Etxepare in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Soldados de roman booed when Matará was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Maldonado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergio Etxepare didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonas Jesco went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Soldados de roman's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
