But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prudencio Tolino couldn't finish the play. After 14 played minutes Charbonier got a freekick which was hit by Marco Guib. Aldo Inge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Osorio in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC LIONS's zone, Edgard Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dario Gonzalez came out of the goal and Edgard Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute, Horacio Estevez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeo Urtats could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Dario Gonzalez made a huge save. Edgard Cordeiro had several of the FC LIONS's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Dario Gonzalez as he didn't even see the shot coming. Tadeo Urtats succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 27th playminute. 33 minutes into the match, FC LIONS's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Cordeiro came free, but Dario Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Inge didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC LIONS's Prudencio Tolino shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After 42 played minutes FC LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Casado. A collision led to FC LIONS getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Claudio Txilar hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgard Cordeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Prudencio Tolino took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Aldo Inge to make any attempt to save it. FC LIONS's Haroldo Osorio got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Aldo Inge successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Severiano Casado got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Charbonier booed when FC LIONS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Casado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tadeo Urtats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dario Gonzalez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Cordeiro's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Dario Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Urtats in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Haroldo Osorio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC LIONS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Osorio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
