If Fausto Pietro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th match minute, Fierrazo Social Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Txeru to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 24 minutes, Fausto Pietro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Pietro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fierrazo Social Club's goalkeeper Melquiades Beila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Fausto Pietro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melquiades Beila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Pedroso in the 68th minute of the match. In the 75th minute Amado Tabor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Ourente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantino Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Beila having to interfere. If Amado Tabor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Independencia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fierrazo Social Club.
