Spectators: 5004 (Terracing: 4002, Seating: 1002, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Celso Tome kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeledon Mede in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximiliano Ourente saved Independencia from getting behind. When C.A.Colon De Santa Fe's Angelo Jenaro in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Independencia's goalie prevented a goal. Celso Tome struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Maximiliano Ourente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.Colon De Santa Fe. Zeledon Mede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd match minute, Independencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Pietro to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes, C.A.Colon De Santa Fe's Raimundo Luken shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maximiliano Ourente came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.A.Colon De Santa Fe reached it. Maximiliano Ourente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Tome in the 25th minute of play. When C.A.Colon De Santa Fe's Angelo Jenaro in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Independencia's goalie prevented a goal. Constantino Pedroso charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Constantino Pedroso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Constantino Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 40th minute Celso Tome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Ourente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fausto Pietro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantino Pedroso to make the kick off. Constantino Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Cordeal having to interfere. Maximiliano Ourente made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Angelo Jenaro sent off a good shot on target. Angelo Jenaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Maximiliano Ourente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Cordeal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Pietro in the 74th minute of play. Nestor Bento's late challenge caught a Independencia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nestor Bento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute, Nestor Bento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Celso Tome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.A.Colon De Santa Fe's Angelo Jenaro got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Independencia's Maximiliano Ourente got control of the ball when Angelo Jenaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 97 minutes, Constantino Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantino Pedroso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
