An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Ubarna in the 27th minute of play forced Independencia's goalkeeper Maximiliano Ourente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Independencia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Enzo Barros fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Independencia getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Constantino Pedroso hit a great ball. If Enzo Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Ubarna in the 41st minute of play forced Independencia's goalkeeper Maximiliano Ourente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Pietro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Txomin having to interfere. If Guaberto Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guaberto Ubarna to strike the kick off in the second half. If Constantino Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Calabacillas's zone, Constantino Pedroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prospero Txomin came out of the goal and Constantino Pedroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Guaberto Ubarna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Calabacillas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Calabacillas's Prospero Txomin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Cordaryal in the 77th minute of play. Independencia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Patricio Aznar in the 79th minute. 2-0 became the score in the 82nd minute when Guaberto Ubarna elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fausto Pietro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Txomin having to interfere. Constantino Pedroso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prospero Txomin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Fausto Pietro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Prospero Txomin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enzo Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calabacillas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Independencia for a fine match.
